Generation Church Camp Day 2 8/5/10

I was so excited for day two of camp because of what God had did in my life the previous night and for what he still had in store for me. After we had breakfast we had men’s prayer. That was so awesome! Pastor Mark Venti led us through how to pray by using the Lords Prayer. It is such a great way to pray especially if you are not sure of what to pray or even how to.

After prayer we had a morning service where the City Church’s very own Pastor John Smith spoke out of Exodus 33:11 where Moses was at the tabernacle and when he went back to the camp he asked his servant Joshua to come with him, but Joshua said no and he stayed at the tabernacle. Joshua was going through a hard time so instead of going back to his problems, he stayed in the church to figure out his problems. Pastor John talked about how there is no wilderness in Jesus. He also talked about how we go through trials but the end result is a miracle. Joshua waited for the grace of God and he was able to receive it because he stayed in the church. I think Jesus is worth waiting for no matter what you are going through!

After the morning service we played some games which were a lot of fun. Then we had an evening service which again was awesome. Pastor Chad gave another great message on a different faith. He preached out of 2 Timothy 1:5-6 which says when I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also. He also spoke out Numbers 14 where Moses and Aaron are leading the people out of Egypt. They run into trouble and start to lose hope that they will never get to the promise land, but Joshua comes and says don’t lose your faith. They all end up going to the promise land. We need to have abundant faith.

Pastor Chad said that your mind determines your destiny. We as people need to always think positive for that is what our destiny is. Also we need to believe for anything that is going on in our lives. I know I am believing for a van so I can drive on my. I believe by faith that God will provide me with that. Just have faith and believe that God will provide!
